VPNs also help you stay anonymous.

I’m not sure how you specifically meant this, and it’s just me nitpicking, but I just wanted to point out that VPNs give you additional security, but they don’t by default keep you anonymous. You’d need to be doing a lot of other things along with the VPN to stay anonymous.

True enough. I'm sympathetic regarding not wanting to be tracked, but I can't get worked up over signing in when I play games on a console. Been doing that since 2004, and Halo 2 stats were super cool. Remember when we all scrambled to download those before they went away? But man, Microsoft has really got the goods on me. They know I played 3000 games and never got any better at multiplayer. How embarrassing!

Speaking of stats, Marathon has no post-game report that you can refer back to after you’ve exited the screen that shows what you extracted/failed to extract with. Bungie practically invented the way stats were displayed and stored with Halo 2, but that’s all just gone in Marathon. It would be cool to have, but they obviously have bigger problems right now.

Seems like an oversight, doesn't it? In my mind between Halo 3 and Reach, Bungie reached a peak with their quality of life features both built in and integrated with Bungie.net. To keep with the enshittification theme of this thread, when the platforms implemented similar functionality, it was never as good.
