Which is SUPER intriguing to me. And certainly more engaging than a regular PvP match (BR or arena) or a random seasonal event in Destiny. It's a strange balance and it's possible they'll strike it right or they'll fail to find the right note.

Interestingly, I was thinking back to Trials of Osiris. Extraction shooters are supposed to be really tense right? Well, when we were 8-0 in Trials without a mercy buff, and it was the final round, I was 100x as tense as at any moment in Marathon.

The threat of losing everything just isn't hitting that tension and climactic release for me.

Sure, I had a thrilling moment where we were ambushed and they had the high ground. We killed them and made it out. But that was a 4/10 on the rush scale, not 10/10 like Trials could be.

Lol the way you saunter over to the last runner to finish like "oh you're still here? I'll fix that".

Yeah you're definitely right. But right now we're not loading in with a full set of purple gear with some end game contract hoping we can knock it out and all of a sudden getting jumped on both sides.

Consider playing the Destiny alpha and even considering that Destiny would even have Trials at all. I had never experienced anything like it until there I was on my first flawless run. Could totally be the case here and I see the path there pretty clearly.

I'm not even at the point where I feel comfortable regular taking on the UESC event that takes place in the bubble.
