Let's talk about how dead this place is. (Off-Topic)

EXACTLY, word for word, and that's another nail in the coffin, at least socially. Out of a clan, or a group, or even a website like this...say, 6-10 people make up a stable consistent fireteam, and go through [x] raid as routinely as brushing your teeth. Everybody knows what to do, what role they want to be, what challenges, etc. And as a result, they get it done in less than 20 minutes.

"Same time next week? See ya there." Revolutions.

And while I completely understand that, and I guess there isn't really anything inherently wrong with it, bam there goes the social aspect. You and your raid buddies are in your fireteam bubble. You invite someone new, the machine comes to a grinding halt trying to teach them how, or teach them a different method, or get them accustomed to a different role, or etc.

Even if they KNOW the game and the raid, they don't know it the GROUP'S way. And that sub-20 minute quickie then turns into that half-day. It sucks.

Yup, and I've been in those kinds of groups before so I get it. Like you said, there isn't anything inherently wrong with it, but it does create a kind of barrier to entry that's difficult to overcome.
