In my teens and 20s, I worked in a record store [nico, you may not have known this?], and it was the perfect job to feed my music obsession. One evening the district supervisor invited me to his house to see his many thousands of albums. I cherish the memory. Yet, if I'd been fired two days later, and I knew he knew it was going to happen, I would have been pissed. Thankfully (for all sorts of reasons), twitter didn't exist yet.
