Okay, thanks for the info.

And I mean, I don't realistically have to change batteries every day, but I always assume the worse. I don't really think it would be an issue. But also, the bigger issue is there's no way to do surround sound through the controller, so that makes me lean toward an independent mix amp rather than the M80 that plugs into the controller.

Wow! When I last looked at this a few months back you only needed the Microsoft stereo adapter to use with the independent mix amp, so you could buy the A40s with the independent amp and use with either console. Now they're implying you have to buy M80 to use the A40s with the Xbone at all. That sucks.
