As someone who has read a lot of audiophile forums and the gold plated cable-rising hokum they talk about I'd prefer "snob".

That's why it was too harsh. That stuff is hokum. Quality speaker drivers and comfortable fit are my jam.

I think the term "audiophile" carries a lot of baggage (and it's generally well-earned). I like to take the term back to its roots, "someone who likes audio."
