I must be an idiot, because igniting the gas canisters using the firewall had never occurred to me (I always just shoot them), but using the firewall like you did is a great way to set an even larger patch of earth on fire.

Plus, the Canister damage stacks with Firewall; great against Titans. Scorch is one of those underrated Titans that can be used well outside of its intended role (crowd control), since all of its abilities can stack in one small area.

If you're playing the campaign on Master difficulty, Scorch will get you through some real tough times.

That's very cool. I like using Scorch, but I just recently fell into a great rhythm with Tone and haven't tried much else since then. I'll have to take Scorch out for another test run and give it a try.

I noticed in your video that you rarely use your Sonar Lock (Triangle), which gives you a near-instant lock on enemies. Figured it was some MLG trade-off strategy that you're employing, and not that you're simply forgetful or unfocused when the pressure's on.

heh, no I do use it, but it's not as effective as you think it is. You don't get an instant lock. It gives you 1 step towards achieving your lock. Normally you need to land 3 direct hits on a target for the lock to kick in. So if you launch the sonar dart and it paints a target, you just have to hit it with 2 shots to achieve lock.

Since firing the sonar takes just as much time as firing the 40mm cannon, and hits with the cannon do just as much toward achieving a lock as the sonar does while also doing damage, I find I'm usually better off just firing the 40mm as quickly and often as possible.

I typically save the sonar for 2 scenarios; when an enemy is hiding out of sight and I want to track their movements (as seen in this clip), or if I am coming up against multiple enemy Titans in a tight space. Using a sonar pulse in that situation is now a significant time saver, because I'm getting a partial lock on multiple targets at the same time, meaning I can fire my cluster missiles much sooner and more often.
