Understanding how Destiny will play

One difference I've picked up from the short time I've played BL2 and you know, the none of it I've played, but watched, of Destiny.

If BL were to have all the guns in the world, it looks like Destiny will have all the awesome guns in the world. I have a sinking feeling every time I find a gun chest in BL because I'm thinking "great, 4 most likely mediocre things I don't need but have to pick up, compare, and then sell".

I'm thinking, more like hoping, that the "loot" in Destiny will be less crap you are looking to sell and more likely to find a way into your goto arsenal.

Oh and the gameplay they showed at E3 definitely appeared to capture that awesome kinetic shooter nature that defines a "Bungie Shooter" as they say. If they get the movement and pew pew to have that "feel", then it will definitely stand well apart from BL.

That said, it's all conjecture. I'm just hopeful. Can't wait to see more and I hope it helps allay your concerns.

You pretty much nailed how I feel. I do think the comparison to BL is impossible to ignore and is even in many ways apt, but from what I've seen (and played of Borderlands) Borderlands is a lump of coal, lots of potential but not always a lot of fun, and Destiny looks like a diamond. They both start out the same way, it's how "polished" they are that's important.
