Bungie also teased more support for the Essential Workers who are helping us all during these troubles times.
As always, you can read the update over at Bungie.net, or at our Weekly Update Archives.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27, is the end of Season 4 of Destiny 2, and the recent Weekly Update from Bungie gives you some idea about what's going away, and what's coming in Season 5. There's also word of a new comic release, coming later this week - go give it a read! As always, there's a local copy in our Archives.
Yo! Bungie dropped this weeks update Hot! We updated d- I'm sorry, I can't do it. Let's try this the normal way... Bungie's weekly update this week reminds you that Thunderlord just became available (grab it via a guaranteed quest line until the 27th, or wait for RNG to bless you with it after that), provides you with an overview of the next Season, launching November 27, previews some of the upcoming changes to Gambit, and offers the standard Player Support Report and fan-created videos. Read it on Bungie.net, or read it here, in our Archives!
This (last) week at Bungie, Festival of the Lost returns to Destiny! And more importantly, paper masks are back as well! Grab the free chicken mask, and prepare your wallet for a three-mask Bundle that will be available from the Bungie store (both digital and physical!).
And speaking of your wallet; if you have yet to buy any of the Destiny 2 DLCs, you'll instantly save $20 if you decide to jump in starting on October 16th, as Curse of Osiris and Warmind will be included with your purchase of Forsaken. Wondering what jumping in early entitles you to? Bungie's got you covered with a couple of exclusive veteran emotes and shader/emblem combo! By Sunbreaker's hammer, what a savings!
And because we clearly don't have enough great things coming on the 16th, Iron Banner returns, and Saladin's bringing double and triple Valor with it, along with Powerful Engrams in every bounty (better start cashing in those sick days)! Warm up your Telesto or preferred Crucible Crutch weapon of choice, because Saladin's selling the fantastic Claws of the Wolf pulse rifle.
Wrapping up the update, Bungie's got some Tweets in several languages (Has recibido un Tránsito de Borde!), server maintenance scheduled for several timezones, known errors across several platforms, and music videos from several genres!
As always, you can read the local copy available here.
This Week At Bungie, Cayde's been having a rough time. If you're staying dark for Forsaken (ten days to go!), then you might not want to watch the Last Stand of the Gunslinger video that was shown off at Gamescom. If you don't mind sneak peeks, then you'll be happy to know that Gambit will be available for all Destiny 2 players for one day on Sept. 1st, no Forsaken needed.
Once Forsaken launches on Sept. 4th (after a bit of downtime for maintenance), you have ten days to gear up for the new Raid, "Last Wish", which gives you a bit more time to try to get closer to that 600 Power-level cap (it's a bit of a hike!). And speaking of gaining more power, Design Lead Josh Hamrick (Josh 'em Rick?) stops by to fill us in on how the new Mod system works, and how you will be able to acquire them. We also get a glimpse of next week's patch notes, if you're curious about how some exotic and ability behaviors are changing.
And Speaking of changes, Destiny Player Support has a pretty extensive list of what's coming and going with Tuesday's patch (this is your last weekend to go for the Trials of the Nine Achievement/Trophy!). The whole thing is wrapped up with a filter-heavy montage and a mood-heavy time-lapse painting of Cayde. It's the meatiest update in a while, so if you want a read that's a bit easier on the eyes, check our local copy of the update. And thanks to cheapLEY for the heads up!
This Week At Bungie, they want you to know about all sorts of things. They're showing off Gambit at Gamescom, in Germany, so there's some answers about Infamy, the upcoming ranking system for Gambit players. Meanwhile, they want to make you feel better about Glory ranks. They also want to let you know about changes in the social systems in Destiny. They're highlighting a new, pretty fun-sounding mode in Crucible Labs. (Scorch Cannons for Everyone!) They have lots of info from the Player Support team (including some great stuff about what you DON'T have to finish by August 28). And they have a bunch of fan content - videos, a fantastic group self-portrait by fan artists, Nightfall scores, the works! Go read it, either at Bungie.net, or in our Archive.
Wait, what? We forgot to let you know about a Weekly Update AGAIN? I mean... okay, anyway, you should read it. It's pretty solid. (We've had a copy in our Archive since Thursday.) Lessee... it's got:
It's a busy update!
The weekly update Bungie posted yesterday is chock-full of fun content. There's fan art they tweeted earlier this week, there is a fascinating infographic with aggregate numbers for the community (did you know that Destiny players have completed more than 77 million Escalation Protocol waves?), there are details about items that will be retired once Forsaken drops next month (along with items that will not), there's a heads-up about the Combat Reveal stream happening next week, there's lots of stuff from the Player Support team (known issues, as well as reminders), and there's fan video content. Go read the whole thing! As usual, there's a copy in our Archive.
This 'we're a few days late on the Weekly Update' thing is getting old... but we're a few days late. Again. You should go read it, because it's good stuff. There's a video showing off new weapons and gear from Forsaken, there's info on a PvP reveal stream taking place in a bit over a week, there are details about the upcoming iteration of Crucible Labs, there is a reminder of the Development Roadmap update last week, there's a peek at the upcoming activities planned for August, there's a preview of a hardcover Grimoire Anthology, and more. It's beefy! Go check it out. (Either at B.net, or right here in our Archive.)
It's a busy week, for Destiny 2. Update 1.2.3 launched on Tuesday, bringing a raft of new features and improvements. The last Faction Rally of Season 3 is currently happening; if you want your last shot at those sweet Exotic Catalysts, this is the time to earn them. And Bungie is gearing up for Solstice of Heroes, dropping in less than 2 weeks. So check out the What's New post from them, for full details! The World's First teams for both Prestige Lairs are honored. A wrapup of GuardianCon makes an appearance, via Twitter. Destiny Player Support gets a new report name ("Player Support Report") and a new logo. And fan vids and Nightfall high scores are highlighted. Go check it all out! (We've got a copy in our Archive, of course.)
Although it made it into our local archive last Thursday, it's only today that we're reminding you that Bungie posted a new weekly update several days ago. (Hey, it's summer. Sometimes it's hard to make it inside!) It's worth a read; there are details about the upcoming return of Destiny Bounties, reminders of the Forsaken content you can find in Game Informer, a preview of the changes dropping in update 1.2.3 tomorrow, a heads-up about the future of the Prismatic Matrix, notes from the Destiny Player Support team, and fan-chosen, fan-made videos. Go read it all!
Yesterday was Thursday, so Bungie let you know how the week had gone (and was going). You can, as usual, read about it all in our own archive, if you choose. Topics included the winner of last week's Faction Rally, the upcoming GuardianCon in Tampa, the ongoing Forsaken coverage in GameInformer, changes to the release schedule of Prestige Raid Lairs, extra goodies for Crucible players this weekend, and the standard features (Destiny Player Support report, along with fan videos). Check it all out!
Yesterday was Thursday, so Bungie posted a news update - and it's worth reading. (You can, of course, read it here, in our Archive, as well.) It contains lots of interesting stuff: there's a post-E3 report from several members of the 'Away Team' that was in LA a couple of weeks ago. There's a preview of some Roadmap updates coming this summer (including, specifically, details about Crucible changes coming with the 1.2.3 update due on July 17). There's a bunch of information about the Prestige variants of both Raid Lairs, also dropping in the July update. There's some fantastic info about changes to Collections coming in Forsaken, in September (and what it means to you NOW). And, of course, there are reports from the Destiny Player Support team, fan-created videos, and Nightfall high scores. All in all, some real meat to sink your teeth into!
A new weekly roundup went live at Bungie.net yesterday (and in our Weekly Update Archive here) - as you might expect, it does a decent job of recapping the reveals from E3, with teases of the new goodness that's coming in September with Forsaken... but there's other stuff, too. As we all know at this point, Dead Orbit won this Faction Rally, but now we have numbers. Iron Banner is making its next return on Tuesday - you've got 7 days of 6v6 Control to continue your progress on Season 3 Ornaments. The third episode of the Warmind comic will drop next Friday (you can catch up at comics.bungie.net if you missed either of the first 2). You can get information on how to buy a Bungie Pride shirt to support the LGBTQUIA community. And, of course, you can get the latest updates from the Destiny Player Support team and see the week's best fan-created vids. Go read it!
Well, yesterday was Thursday, so Bungie posted their Weekly Update - and as you might expect, it focuses a lot on the recent Forsaken reveal. If you missed it, they've got the new ViDoc, and an archived copy of the livestream reveal discussion. There's also a bullet list if you don't have time for videos.
As usual, we're running behind in telling you about Bungie's weekly Update from last week (it's been in the local archive since they posted it, but getting a notice here has taken almost a week - sorry). It's absolutely worth the read, if you haven't done so yet. There is information about changes coming on May 29, some answers to common questions about the new Crucible ranking system, info about the Iron Banner we're currently in the middle of, details on the current and near-future status of the Destiny Companion, and standard features (Destiny Player Support comments, fan vids, Bungie Bounty info). Go give it a read! And sorry again it's so late.
This Week at Bungie was posted yesterday (it WAS Thursday, after all), and it's a collection of goodies that all Destiny players should check out! As the release of Warmind approaches, Bungie is making sure you've got the background you need to properly enjoy it. The update points out new weblore released as a Narrative Preview, the new comic introducing Ana Bray, and the Developer Insights videos they've been releasing, if you missed them. There's a preview of the changes coming in the patch we'll see on Tuesday, a recap of the Exotic changes they've been teasing for a couple of weeks (including one for the D.A.R.C.I. Rifle I hadn't seen before), and a summary of the bigger changes that 1.2.0 will bring. There's also a preview of some changes coming to Eververse, changes that will increase your control over the gear you receive from Eververse. And of course, there are standard features (Destiny Player Support notes, fan-created videos) to round out the offering. As always, you can read it locally, if you choose.
