Bungie hosted their live stream Witch Queen reveal event and, boy howdy, did they reveal some things. You can watch the full reveal HERE. You can also find everything on the Bungie website.
Polygon has a pretty good itemized list of articles that cover each announcement regarding the game, features, release schedules, etc.
Conversation in our forum will continue to grow as more information is learned.
We're at E3, and we have a scheduled interview with Bungie in an hour. Got a question you want answered? Post it in this forum thread, and we'll do our best to get it answered!
The Bungie Store is currently taking pre-orders for a special edition Nepal Aid T-Shirt. The shirt costs $24.99 and you’ll receive a custom in-game shader and emblem. 100% of the profits will be donated to charities involved with relief efforts in Nepal. The last day to order one of these t-shirts is May 24th and they will start shipping in early June. Help support those in need!
Petetheduck has started a "Destiny Quacks" video series. First up is a guide to making a character that will permanently have no weapons. Y'know, if you thought the Iron Banner was too easy.
One of the things that tickles me the most is how people find creative ways to challenge themselves within the confines of a game environment. Two examples surfaced this week that I really enjoyed. WiLLiSGaming and crew successfully completed the Vault of Glass with a Sparrow (think about that for a minute)... while DattoDoesDestiny and friends made Crota kneel using only the exotic weapon No Land Beyond. (This is akin to knocking down a building with a Tonka bulldozer.) When the game doesn't provoke you enough out of the box... don't worry, there's always some new mountain to climb! (Thanks to Gamespresso for the heads-up on the first video, and to Korny for the heads-up on the second video.)
It's that time again, folks. Rampancy continues their quest to fill the chamber pot...er... "magic urn" for Eris and Xur. Watch many Thralls die below:
Hedgem0ny tweeted a pretty cool candid of a Queen of the Reef cosplay by Sandmuffin. You can check out the cosplayer's Facebook page here. Impressive!
The Tower's back porch is currently open and ready for company, including a messenger from the Queen of the Reef. With one of the coolest ships in the game (Even spaceships in Destiny have capes!) and some nice relaxing incense, she's ready to hand out rewards for those who earn enough reputation with the new Queen Bounties, which are available from Xander, like your standard bounties. There's also new Queen Kill Order missions that mix up the difficulty of campaign chapters and offer new rewards for completing them. Have at them, Guardian.
The Inquirer has posted a hands-on preview of the Beta (pretty impressive, given that they managed to get it online before the Beta went live for most of us). Go give it a read!
Breitzen showed off his customized DJI Phatnom 1 VTOL quadcopter in our forums:
Looks cool! But I am a little frightened that if I kill his Guardian in the coming beta he'll send his drone after me in real life...
Our local smoke-signaler, Xenos, directed our attention to some questions Desti-Nation threw at Deej. Nothing really new, and a lot of Q's were posed at topics that have not been discussed or announced, but there's still a little meat to the conversation.
Our local telegrapher, Xenos, let us know that Bungie answered a few fan questions through IGN. Nothing really too new for Destiny followers, but there's a few subtle hints at things to come and slight twists on old facts that might make you ponder a bit!
Joystiq's Alexander Sliwinski posted an video interview with Chris Butcher, engineering lead at Bungie, about game concepts and how the social components of Destiny work. Check it out!
DBO member spooky6 posed an interesting question on our forums regarding how people play games, specifically in a truer "role-playing" fashion, and how this might take place in Destiny. Some interesting discussion has taken place, and we'd love for you to join in. Go look!
