I know, I know, it's my fault for not buying the Physical Collector's Edition the second it was announced. It sucks completely that GameStop isn't making anymore. I'm literally considering lurking outside the store at Midnight hoping somebody's pre-order gets cancelled or something.

But either way, I think it's time for me to go digital--again.

But therein lies the problem--I'm staring at the poster all day and the fact is becoming more painfully clear--the only way I can get what I still want(The emotes, shaders and exotic class items) are to buy the Digital Collector's Edition--adding a SECOND copy of all the other parts of Destiny I already have! The VIP upgrade for Destiny owners has less than every other edition! That doesn't seem right, does it?

I don't want to end up with virtually nothing on 9/15, but I shouldn't be buying more copies of everything just to get justifiable extras--right?

I can pre-order the standard digital upgrade today, and still purchase the extras separately, without having to buy the Digital Collector's Edition, right??

For what it's worth, on PSN: I clicked on the Oryx icon on the director, and was prompted to buy the upgrade.

There was a $40 version and a $60 version that had TTK and the class stuff. I was able to buy the $60 one from within game and then it immediately unlocked the weapons and class items and dance emotes and stuff.

Yeah I did the same thing on XBone through the Oryx symbol. The only difference is the emotes and class items didn't unlock immediately. Apparently this is a known issue on Xbox and those items will unlock for me on the 15th, so I'm not too concerned.

I'll be very unhappy if I don't have the option to buy those things as a discrete item because I've already pulled the trigger on the $40 Taken King stand-alone expansion.

Don't worry. DeeJ/Bungie have stated that the $20 package will be available on 9/15. I haven't seen anything that would indicate that is no longer the plan.
