I take back anything bad I've said about streaming to W10 (Gaming)
This thing is great! I feel like my experience is significantly enhanced by the fact that I have two monitors on my desktop, though.
Input lag is only noticeable if you REALLY try to notice it, as far as my experience goes. Image quality is not as good as on my TV, but still pretty good. Sound is perfect (hell, since I was using headphones to play Destiny for the first time ever, I noticed some sounds I had never noticed before).
Destiny itself was great, since I could use DIM nigh-seamlessly. Also, finding that last damn chest on Mars was smooth as hell, since I was playing as the walkthrough video was streaming on my second screen.
9/10, would do it again.
I just need to buy myself some nice headphones now, so I can chat with you wonderful folks. Thanks for putting up with my mute ass, Narcogen, Speedracer and friend!
Were you hard wired?
I tried it on Friday with my laptop over Wi-Fi. The lag was horrible. I just messed around on patrol and went to xur.
It was impossible to aim. Just moving the stick once and letting go would rotate me 45 degrees.
I'll have to try it again over Ethernet. I just tried it on my laptop just for the novelty of it.
Yes, both ways
I can't recommend going wired enough. Packet loss is, as you've noticed, seriously detrimental to any streaming venture.

I've been using it a while now and I love it for PvE. Can't play PvP but I also have been playing on a slow connection. Oddly mine has played better on wireless than wired, which is good. Unfortunately it's the only new feature of Win10 that makes me want to keep it. I've been thinking about going back to Win7 because I have still not found a solution to my video playback issues. I've searched Microsoft help, HP help, AMD Radeon help, Google, Bing, Ask Jeeves, and a guy who lives in a box next to walmart. I even did a clean reinstall. Still have the same issue. I'm thinking that it would just be better to buy a true Win10 PC with better specs anyway. My laptop is a low budget dealeo, it won't even record game play.
Windows 10 weirdness.

My laptop is now magically playing all videos from all websites and all apps and all programs. The problem is gone. The only difference thing that has changed is I'm at my bro's house on his much faster internet connection. How can this be? Even a saved mp4 file that is not being streamed is now playing on the Win10 movie app. I wonder if this will revert back to not working once I go back to my other connection. I also checked, no new updates have been installed since 8/5.
