PAX Badges
by CougRon, Auburn, WA, USA, Thursday, May 07, 2015, 17:46 (3494 days ago) @ ncsuDuncan
got a couple badges for sunday and one for saturday, but their system is messed up. did not allow me to order for multiple days or go back and try to select more. Would frequently tell me my selection was sold out or tell me another selection that I wasn't attempting was sold out.
Woo!
by Xenos , Shores of Time, Thursday, May 07, 2015, 17:51 (3494 days ago) @ ncsuDuncan
Got tickets for Friday through Sunday! Looking forward to it!
Also get a hotel room NOW if you need one or you'll pay out the nose.
Good research tool

Google Maps does a good job of showing directions via bus in this city, and the city bus system isn't half bad. Put a pin on the conference location and drag an alternate pin around to see how long/easily you can get outside of downtown.
Also don't forget options like AirBnB.com (zero affiliation, I'd never rent out a room to you PAX people, you're weird).
Good research tool

I like the subtle implication that the city bus system is also not half good, either.
Well...

Seattle public transit isn't worth bragging about, or even writing home about. But it's also clean, safe, reliable, and totally worth using if it fits your needs. At least it is on my side of I-5. I don't know about yours :)
Everything's sketchy over here

I really just wanted a subject line that would draw people into reading our useless back and forth :)
Wow

I don't even know what to do with you.
I feel like I should clarify the original comment: Seattle public transit has been pretty solid and is a great idea for PAX weekend.
Where's a mod when you need one?

Come on, man.
Come on what? For all you know I was referencing a scene in a 2012 movie or a publicly available trailer for a 2015 movie that I haven't actually seen yet. Or, you know, a well known character who owns a well known hammer who first appeared in the 1960s... No need to make a scene. :p
Bob the Builder? Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor?
by Up North 65 , Friday, May 08, 2015, 02:50 (3494 days ago) @ Ragashingo
My pop culture knowledge is lacking apparently. But I now want a Tool Time movie to come out.
Yes. Those guys.

Home Improvement is from the 1960s?! :p
Maxwell with a Silver Hammer?
by Up North 65 , Friday, May 08, 2015, 03:54 (3494 days ago) @ Ragashingo
So I combed the internet to find an answer for you and here it is in the form of a song about a med student murdering several people with a silver hammer. But the Beatles sung it so its all cool eh?
Did you not know about that terrible song before now?
