As a fellow Guardian who never plays with a mic, I feel like we're kindred spirits ;p

Agreed!

5 minutes went by before someone finally said "Hey, where's Legacy?" XD

Yep, that was the jumping puzzle for me.

someone is going to assign me a position and I'm not going to be able to argue about it. So wherever someone asks me to go, I need to be able to do it.

And that's what my VoG raid was like! I was more than happy to fill any position, which in this case was mostly "shoot the big glowing things, throw grenades down the stairs, and run wherever you get told to." I found it to be great fun!

I find that playing without a mic has caused me to be extra observant of the rest of my team. I'm constantly looking at where everyone is, how the battle is going, and shifting what I'm doing to help cover any weak spots.

That was the Templar battle for me. I was beyond impressed with the level of communication and direction being given about the fanatic spawns and Oracle pop-ups. I only killed about four or five oracles total, but I did snipe a BUNCH of Hobgoblin snipers in the mean time, so I felt useful. Next time I'll know even better what to do!
