So myself and his beardliness, Chewbaccawakka, the DBO Spokane denizens, met up and ate sandwiches. Pretty delicious sandwiches, I might add, and the lemonade was very refreshing. We spoke of
ourselves, general interests, fan moments (his was so much cooler than mine), and recent storytelling in Halo. We didn't have much time to discuss Destiny after all that, but an agreement was met that we were both extremely excited for it. Second meeting soon to follow, presumably at another vendor of delicious foods. Any and all DBO members welcome!

I can't go, I have warrants for my arrest in 11 of 19 eastern counties. We should totally have a summer party at Lake Chelan. Putting faces to typing under the influence of alcohol sounds amazing.

Actually a Chelan party sounds pretty awesome. I haven't been there in some years and it would be nice to have such a auspicious (suspicious?) event there on it's cool calm shores.
My memories of Spokane
I was there several times years ago working with Cyan on Riven. Then five years ago I got a speeding ticket there driving back to Seattle after visiting Chicago. So mixed feelings.

I forgot you worked with Cyan. Loved the music and sound in Riven, without it the game wouldn't have nearly the right atmosphere.
The Riven soundtrack is one of my favorite for when I need to hunker down and really dig into a late-night programming or art project. That and the ODST soundtrack. Love 'em! :)
So mixed feelings.

(Date of SEWDBOM TBD) Feel free to bring anything to share with the community at the SEWDBOM, like, I don't know, some cool Destiny music for example.

Yeah it was fun! I was glad to finally have the opportunity to meet a DBOer in person. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new trend.
