Time Played per Cryptarch Level: 5.45 (Destiny)
After a discussion with a few others about Cryptarch levels, I realized that I'm a tiny bit higher than those I talk to. My first character is level 49. Maybe that's because I play a lot? Nope, it seems that according to destinystatus.com and the thread just below this one about time played, I'm on the lower end.
So, what's your play time hour per cryptarch level?
Mine would be 267/49 = 5.45 hours per cryptarch level for the first character,
Second char is 128/17 = 7.53 hours per cryptarch level
Not surprising on the second character, since I didn't have to do the same sort of post-lvl20 grinding that I did for the first one.
Anyone else care to share?

Did you do a lot of treasure caving early on?
Nope
But I loved me some strikes. Is there a website out there that will track the amount of time put into a certain activity (not just PvE vs PvP), or number of activities played?
Dur. Bungie.net does it
Bungie.net has me at fewer hours, 188 on the first char instead of 267.
Of the 188. 63 have been spent in strikes. Not as much as I would have thought, but more than any other category (crucible, story, raid, and patrol).
456/91 = 5.01 for my titan
456/91 = 5.01 : Titan
072/12 = 6.00 : Hunter
073/12 = 6.08 : Wizard
I stopped playing a month ago.
164/32 = 5.125
164/32 = 5.125 for my hunter

Down in the fives, seriously? 10.4, 7.7 & 5.9
I guess I have one character down in the 'fives', barely.

Boo....
All times based off destinystatus.com
Main Warlock:
528/58 = 9.10 hrs per level
Alt Hunter:
121/18 = 6.72 hrs per level
Alt Warlock:
82/8 = 10.25 hrs per level.
7.2 with destinystatus, 5.125 with bungie.net
164/32 = 5.125 for my hunter
very different time played depending on the site. i like to think that bungie.net is more accurate and doesn't include all those times when i'm logged in and not playing.

Time Played per Cryptarch Level: 5.45
375 / 49 = 7.65 for my warlock.
52 / 6 = 8.67 for my titan.
43 / 7 = 6.15 for my hunter.
Higher than I expected. I've done a ton of patrols though on my warlock.
If you run straight strikes (assuming 3ish engrams per strike), you should get a cryptarch level every 2.5-3.5 hours (about 35-40 engrams depending on your rollover and reward bonus).
227 hours, level 44, --> 5.16

685/65 = 10.5 for my Warlock...
It would no doubt be higher, but for a really long time I've been Vaulting all of the Blue engrams that I get for my other characters to benefit from, as I need the dang Plasteel Plating and Sapphire Wire (I have 1,789 useless Hadronic Essences that we can't trade in).
685/65 = 10.5 for my Warlock...
Is there a secret to vaulting a large number of items that I am unaware of?

I vaulted a bunch of blue armor engrams for my alts to use when they hit level 20. That way they could use the blue engrams to hopefully get a piece of gear with good light level on it. That with the exotic & legendary armor pieces my warlock went from 20 to 26/27 almost instantly last night.

I meant is there a trick to vaulting a large number, not how vaulting works between characters :)
The vault holds what? 16 items? Doesn't seem like enough to make a difference in Cryptarch level.
