What do you all think of Blizzard's Overwatch? (Gaming)

It has a great trailer, Blizzard knows how to nail em. It reminded me of The Incredibles, like 50's optimistic superhero and TF2. They seem to be taking cues from Disney Infinity in terms of design. I mean, I'd buy a fig of the gorilla with glasses right now if it was available.

I think this was more like the initial pitch Bungie was making for Destiny, being a return to optimistic sci-fi. That being said, I don't think Destiny's subject matter could ever allow Overwatch levels of optimism.

In terms of gameplay, they seem to be aiming at a more objective goals where the player doesn't die as often as your current shooter. It'll be interesting to see how you empower the player if the kill times are much slower. Still need to see more on this.

Love the art style, comic book fun. Looks good.

Blizzard does know how to make a good trailer.

Watched the individual gameplay videos they have available, it's definitely very very TF2esque. I'm a little bit tickled that Blizzards first new IP in 17 years is derivative of a longstanding Valve product.

The movement abilities and super powers seem to be the biggest departure from TF2, but ultimately it appears to be a fairly straightforward and simplistic team shooter (a handful of weapons and abilities for each character).

It is reported that some of this stuff is leftover from the failed Titan project, I guess they took some of its assets and turned it into this team based shooter. Not a bad use of leftover resources, it could be fun.
