I think part of the problem is that switching weapons is difficult in Destiny. The outside team is going to have a very different weapon set than the inside team. Outside is handcanons or scout rifles to take the supplicants, inside is Auto Rifles for the Oracles.

Had to come back to this old topic to comment that this is a very valid criticism. Building your weapon loadout based on what you plan to do in the raid is a very good design outcome. Requiring people to be ready to play any role is also good design. But in this particular instance those two have a bit of a conflict.

This is going to suck hereon out. Gotta level my vision of confluence, it definitely just became the most important weapon in my arsenal. This is another instance where that AR nerf is having some unfortunate consequences, PvP making life tough for PvE again.
