I'm not sure if companies are allowed to use unsolicited suggestions. It's a legal nightmare! With game designs/scripts at least, I know the responsible ones send straight to the shredder.
Well then Bungie is in trouble, because shortly after I suggested how to fix engram decoding they announced they were going to do exactly what I suggested.
:-p
On a serious note, it's only a problem if it can be copyrighted. Game mechanics can not, so unsolicited game design suggestions should be fine to use.
