I've done a bit of googling around various place (here, neogaf, etc.) and I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this very important question...
Can I play Destiny on my 20GB 360 HDD without deleting every single file on it?
If I can't that is a HUGE bummer, but at least I will not have opened the shrink wrap on my physical copy...

Should work

My sister and her husband are playing it on their 20GB 360s just fine (playing from disc). They had about 12-14 GB free, I think. Not sure how much Destiny will eat with expansions and such, but it's working for now.
Thank you!

THANK YOU!!! That works for me!
On a side note: I'm now realizing that in a round-about way I'm locking in my next-gen platform choice by opening this game. As someone with limited time to game there is no way that I'm re-doing anything with my character if I want to keep playing this game long-term.

Thank you!

Destiny's lack of cross-platform characters: Microsoft's next-gen weapon to keep their remaining fanbase from switching to PlayStation?
Thank you!

I guess so. No matter how hard they try to maintain their distance, Bungie just can't stop saving MS.
Confirmed. The above is the right answer.

HELP! Can I play this game on my 20GB 360?

One of my 360s (my only one until recently) had a 20GB hard drive. My advice is to get a couple of usb drives and plug them in. I have a couple of 16gb, but I think the limit is 32.
Move your XBLA games and map packs to them. Keep your profiles and game saves on the hard drive. It worked pretty well for me for a long time. The only thing that has taken up any significant space on the hard drive has been BF4's HD content. It never would recognize it if I moved it to the usb drives. Everything else has been fine.

Great advice. That is exactly what I ended up having to do for the beta and was pretty painless.
