The game holds up incredibly well on last-gen consoles in terms of gameplay, and without seeing them side by side, I thought it looked pretty damn good. Now that I see it like this, it looks like one side of the screen has been coated in vaseline.

Still, 360 owners don't need to upgrade for just this game. It runs great.

I didn't really notice - both sides looked almost identical to me except for a little more sharpness from the xbone. The xbone side had more detailed shadows, but all the textures looked very similar. It looks like the xbone version has more blowy plants (like, they respond to wind more realistically), which seems to add a lot of realism.

Do the two versions run at different frame rates? sometimes the frames get a bit choppy on my 360, I don't know if you'd see that on the xbone or not, and I don't think it would come out on youtube either.

also the 360 version has a lot of aliasing that I can see on my TV but I didn't notice in the video to the same extent. Not sure if the xbone has that as well.

Shadows are usually pretty low-res in games, so they'll stand out even on a low-quality video. Textures should (I would think, given the difference in RAM and game install size) be vastly higher-quality on the XB1 side, it just might not come through on Youtube.

It looks like the xbone version has more blowy plants (like, they respond to wind more realistically), which seems to add a lot of realism.

Destiny had better foliage animation on eighth-gen platforms in the beta, too.

Do the two versions run at different frame rates?

Both target 30fps, but a couple things:
1-The XB1 version might be less prone to drops, and
2-I'm not sure if the seventh-gen versions ever had the frame-pacing issue fixed. It was fixed during the beta for the eighth-gen versions.

also the 360 version has a lot of aliasing that I can see on my TV but I didn't notice in the video to the same extent. Not sure if the xbone has that as well.

Aliasing should be far less prevalent in the XB1 version due to the higher resolution.

I haven't checked out the full game on my 360 yet, but the biggest difference I remember from the beta was the absolutely AWFUL reflections on water in the 360, and the saturated skyboxes any time that the sun was bright on the screen
