It would when your spider tank kills you on the left side of the map, Beorn's kills him in the center, and mine kills me on the right... all with the same shot. We're able to fight as a team because we see the AI in the same spots... and the AI is in the same spots because it responded to all of us equally. Same with its firing patterns and grenades and so on. It'd be total unplayable chaos as if we were playing three completely separate games if it wasn't synced up somehow.
