Nope, no crit damage with Pike guns it seems.

Sadly I've only seen it twice so I can't say for sure if it's on a schedule. Someone on here might know though.

From what I gather from the Reddit discussion if public event times, *something* happens roughly every 30-40 minutes, but its random whether its a public event (and if so, WHICH public event) or something else like the Pikes or the Fallen/Hive war.
