Could that thing he's holding in his hand be that floating ball / drone out in front of the Spider Tank? The one in his hand seems to have camera lenses on it and I'm guessing it's not a grenade that takes your picture just before it explodes you. :p

Not quite exact, I figure the one in the snow is a good bit bigger, but maybe these guys like drones in general?
