PvP game vs Halo Professional (Destiny)
I got some PvP streaming in last night. One of my matches apparently involved a Halo pro, Ninja. He's kind of an e-celeb so he has a large following on Twitch. Someone in his twitch chat linked to my stream and we got a windfall of viewers.
My team won the game and I did very well, but it was mostly through killing his teammates. I think we were about even on our personal scoreboard. He takes some time during the match to compliment me, and praise from Caesar is high praise indeed.
As he says, though, he won the last duel so he's better than me. That stings.
If you'd like to peep some high-level (apparently) Destiny gameplay, here are the matches from our respective POVs. Note our differing loadouts. He's using a Titan with a shotgun Special and a rocket launcher Heavy, with the Fist of Havoc super. Very close range stuff, but balanced with a Scout Rifle Primary. I'm using a Hunter with a sniper Special and a machine gun Heavy (which I never use), with the Golden Gun super. So I'm much more interested in staying away from people while he's more aggressive.
Also watch for occasions when he uses the sprint->slide->shotgun-to-the-face technique on some victims.

Shotgun slide is nasty if you have the enhanced slide range weapon upgrade. Let me know if you spot that in the wild!
Kermit vs. Schooly D (Match of the Century)
The other night matchmaking dumped me into a game with Schooly D. (Those of you who know us are now thinking Bungie, fix yer shit!)
I was wondering who was sniping me all the time, but then of course it became clear and understandable.
Yet my team still won. Heh.
Regarding Destiny in general? It's a deep game.
For me Destiny is that woman you meet who is so attractive you struggle not to stare, and then your first interactions with her are weird and awkward. She acts familiar but then does something unexpected and you don't know if you like her or not. The next day you run into her at the coffee shop, and she's reading your favorite book. Is she the one? Magic 8 balls says signs point to yes.
P.S. Hey Sonofmacphisto! The Tower feels very much like the Citadel. I thought you'd want to know.

Destiny is my wife? Sweet!

Fuckinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn right man. Just the other day was lamenting the inability to visit the Citadel for the first time again

One caveat: I should've said part of the Citadel. The Citadel is much bigger. That's either because this is an Alpha, or because Bungie is saving Destiny's memory space for combat areas. Personally, I'd like the city to be an actual explorable city, and I'd like more non-combat activities much like Mass Effect offered, but that might not be the game that Bungie is making.

I agree wholeheartedly. Hoping there is a lot more to the Tower and City than what we can get to in the Alpha.

I love stuff like this in games (still excited even if it's only like a part of the Citadel).
Like in Skyrim, some of those towns were just cool. Solitude? Whiterun? Raven Rock? Hells yes.

More like, she's attractive, and a really great person, but she insists you spend 3 months salary on a ring instead of just spending it on the honeymoon or putting it into a house.
Hmm, I don't think I follow that one

I think he's saying the game has some misplaced priorities.
