Customs Night is waiting for you at the end of the week. I hope you're ready by then.
Customs Night, for the unaware, is a weekly get-together in Halo hosted by Community Customs where we (all the people present) play custom games. Specifically, we play custom and standard gametypes on custom maps (and sometimes a standard map or two) at 9:00 PM US Eastern time every Friday. We play gametypes and maps ranging from old to new, from simple to complicated, and from competitive to silly, created by many different people. If this sounds like fun, why not join us? To do that, all you have to do is reply to this post with your gamertag and be on Xbox Live when we're starting, in which case you'll get an invitation. We usually accept people that show up later and people that don't sign up, but we really prefer that people give some notice.
Things to keep in mind:
- the vast majority of the time, we play what the people present want to play
- we don't run modded content because of present and future risks of bans
- one of us-- a CC admin, including but not limited to ShadowoftheVoid, iHyokin, and Gnrl Vagueness-- will have party lead all night, so...
- if you have something you want to play that we don't already have, you'll have to either tell us ahead of time so we can get it or put it in your file share and tell us either before or during Customs Night so we can get it then (or at least tell us the name of the file and the gamertag of someone that has it in their file share)
- we play until most of the people have left or don't want to play customs any more, or the people running it are all too tired
- we value and enjoy communication, and it's important to being able to run this, so please, go ahead and talk, but keep it civil and let other people talk too, huh?
- suggested things to bring: a map, a friend, a snack, a joke, a story
- that game again is Halo 4 and that time is 9:00 PM EST-- I hope we see you there!

I'd like to apologize. Something happened to me that often happens to me in general but very rarely happens to me in this specific way-- I didn't keep track of the time, or in this case the date, and what I was supposed to be doing-- I forgot it was Friday, and just remembered a few minutes ago. I am so sorry. I don't know how to say it better-- and it absolutely deserves to be said better, and to be said more, because I deeply regret this. I was catching up on some things and eating dinner and my sister was on the 360-- I've pushed all of those things out of the way for Customs Night before, and I would've done it tonight if I'd remembered (I'm not sure my sister was even on after 9:00), and it's possible those things hampered me in thinking of when it was and what was going on, but there's no excuse; I am so sorry. I will be there next week if I have to crawl through the mud and eat worms to do it. You can put money on it.
