I would probably reject it too, as I am not sure I would trust Bungie could deliver on anything even tangentially related to sex or desire. But it's wild this was even up for discussion.

Stay with me, but Digital Extremes added a dating sim to Warframe back in 2024, where you use an AOL-era chat app to build relationships with human versions of several Warframes, and it is legitimately peak content.

I'm dead serious.

It fits into the universe believably, the writing is fantastic, it expands the lore while answering several longstanding questions, develops all characters involved (including the character you play as during the 1999 quest), and adds weight and impact to the questline itself.

DE has updated and added to it over time as well, and if you commit to pursuing a romantic relationship, you can even get a sweet little cutscene every month... Unless you romance the girl with a prehensile tentacle for a tongue, then you're on something else altogether.

But yeah, with the right talent, care, and energy, devs can do anything! Especially if they're not worried about over-delivering.
