The new navigation UI will be, I suspect, a full appendix in a to-be-written human interface manual that will be entitled "how to really fuck a pig, UI-wise."

It's particularly galling when you consider that the original Destiny UI was award-winning. I know how it goes with these things. You get mandates from above. Someone quotes a test response from a non-Destiny gamer who found the Director confusing, and before you know it, you're off to the races with reinvented wheels. I miss Evil Otto.

I got to play for a little bit Saturday. Nice to see them leave the solar system, as was teased very early on. There are bits that remind me of Mass Effect, and bits that remind me of No Man's Sky--the language stuff. Don't hate it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to play for a week or more.
