I got over it (Gaming)
A little late to the party, but I finished Getting Over it With Bennet Foddy.
Your task is to climb. But you can only use your hammer, and the controls are seemingly impenetrable.
At first this seemed like a troll game like QWOP. But unlike QWOP, slowly but surely it started to make sense. How to scoot, launch, swing, and fling yourself. When you fall and lose all progress (there are no checkpoints), the devastation turns to satisfaction as you climb your way up a little faster each time. The narrator taunts you, twisting the knife, but it only makes you want to finish that much more.
There's times when you want to give up. The climb after the oranges probably took half my time. But in the end you see the path.
Nothing is handed to you. Everything is earned, but take nothing for granted since one misstep and you're back at the start.
This is a great game I will only finish ONE TIME.
Congratulations! You Are A MASOCHIST.
I've seen videos of that game, and no way in hell. Just watching it is hard to take, seeing someone get themselves into a claustrophobic corner or a hanging ledge somewhere just to slip only by inches and fall forever. Getting Over It is the only video game out there where someone achieved the world record and ragequit instead of celebrating. It's cursed.
You've got better willpower than most, though.

The first climb is always the hardest
Learning the control scheme takes… time.
