Good THAB this week. (Destiny)
This week's THAB continues the preview of Beyond Light and Europa with some maps of the new destination.
We’ll get more bonus rewards throughout the rest of the season, apparently. Details to come, I guess.
A look at some changing tech with Beyond Light. The new expansion will require a full reinstall of Destiny, but that install will now only occupy 59 to 71 GB depending on your system of choice.
The game hosting model will change, which will allow more advanced mission scripting. Some weirdness in old content may result. It’s also the reason for Prophecy going away, but they say that it should be back by the end of the year.
They can now build new versions of the game in under 12 hours, instead of over 24.
They did work on the faces, so your Guardian may look different. Sounds like being able to redo your character customization is coming at some point.
Nessus and EDZ are being given a visual refresh in the form of new lighting.
They show off new emblems for community contest winners and volunteers.
You forgot...
...face to face joining in social spaces. That is, no longer having to reload the entire Tower just to join another player. This is gonna be awesome.
You forgot...
Oh yeah, that’s another great addition for sure.

Yeah, it's interesting; I'm wondering if this means the Tangled Shore, the Moon, and the Dreaming City all must have some slightly different lightning tech from Nessuss/EDZ, or that it's really just a "these were the oldest we were keeping around and our art team wanted another pass".
I'm also wondering if they're holding onto Cayde for Nessus or if Nov. 10th is when he's in the dirt for good?
Anyways, love that they're getting a chance to do some tech overhauls. Foundational changes that give them more power for making interesting objectives/encounters? Sign me up.

Since both new consoles are boasting Ray Tracing any time they could, could it be an update for that?

Since the new raid is supposed to be exploring the origins of Exos, I'm hoping they tie him in somehow. Even if it's just hidden Easter eggs.
