How do you pitch a game where the gameplay is essentially - from my distant distant observation
You have to play it to really understand. This isn't a game you can just watch a bit and get.
Death Stranding is a Message Puzzle, and I've only seen pieces here and there. I know I don't know... in more ways then one. :P
That said, without spoiling the game... Mr.Editor... how would you sell the game in 30 seconds?
