It does make them stagger slowly in their current direction (usually forward) and not sacrifice for 10-30 seconds depending if their new return path takes them back into the bubble or not. It also causes your team to loudly protest the bubble. Therefore, the strategy gets used exactly once then never again. ;)
Presumably, a group of six Titans could lock down the map with a line of bubbles. Barriers do the same thing on a more limited basis. That means that, yes, the true key to winning is using all bubble Titans. I would have suggested that last night, but the protest then would have been deafening... :p
