I would add the caveat that appropriate configuration of a Windows device is exceptionally important and a very substantial volume of complaints with it is not configuring it appropriately. Apply goes with enforced streamlining and Microsoft offers a wide variety of options. If you don’t beed the options then it’s just chaff and you have to put in the time to correct that.
It would be better in the long run for MS to follow suit, but you are correct they likely won’t force a change.
