They make a good point. Bungie does put thought into the universe details that tend to get ignored elsewhere and it really improves your investment in the plot. Who is Berhnard Strauss? Why is there a secret room filled with ammo on a colony ship?
That every place had some purpose in Destiny before you arrive averts somewhat the ME1 random buildings in the middle of nowhere syndrome.
