Kinda Funny Games, We Have Cool Friends--Luke Smith (Destiny)
Kinda Funny (Greg Miller, formerly of IGN) has a show called We Have Cool Friends, where they interview cool (mostly well-known) people they know.
They just posted a new one--over an hour of talking with Luke Smith.
I haven't watched yet, but here it is:
EDIT: Fascinating Raid talk at about 20 minutes in.
Crota's End and King's Fall was originally one massive raid, and it was being designed before VoG was even a thing. They switched to make VoG when they realize the end of Destiny was about the Vex.
The Bridge part of Crota's End was one of the original design concepts, where they used a modified Brute Hammer instead of the sword. And now I want a Brute Hammer in Destiny! (:
Damnit, I like Luke Smith. He's just really great to listen to.
Watched it as well. It is good. Luke is good. Watch it.

I learned...
- First thing they talk about Directors Cut! Yes!
- Luke is why I could never get that last DARN'd armor piece for Reach.
- His Thing With MMO & Subscriptions.
- The talk about industry genres such as "RPG Shooter! What does that mean!".
- Data Sizes and Builds in a all digital future.
- "Prop a Build".
- Guns are Hard.
- Halo 1 in Destiny.
- Destiny is about mountain climbing.
- Build crafting is the current focus.
Interesting. Thanks for the share.
Some things are hard that seem easy
I'm soooo happy that he was asked it and how he explained it. It's around 57th minute. It is basically how Technology works.
Love Luke
He's matured into a fine young man. Loved him on the PAX 0panel before D2 launched. There, like here, he was honest, human, funny, and insightful.

Luke has grown on me over time. Wasn't a fan initially.
