OK, I finally got around to watching the footage today. Even without any evidence, I would have been super hyped for this one, based on the strength of the last game, and how firmly the team seemed to "get" what made those old shooters work (and how to not screw them up in the modern world). But after seeing it in action, I'm somehow even more certain. This is going to be a hell of a ride.
Using the Arch-vile as a closing tease is great, but they better really deliver on it. That guy was maybe the most intimidating enemy in DOOM II and his legacy means something to those of us who suffered through it.
