If we are talking about cross-play, then that is correct. PS4 players cannot play with Xbox players (or Switch).
I read that as: If you play Fortnite on Xbox you can't link your account via Switch (which is what is happening for PS4 players), which is incorrect.
This is what happens when I stay up too late Raiding. #ItsStillWorthIt
EDIT: Because I'm still not sure I got it right. Or is it that Epic accounts linked with a PS account will not let you link your Xbox account?
