I found out about it yesterday, but the more time goes on, the bigger this problem is going to get, since more and more people will get to the level requirement.

Since Escalation protocol is at the mercy of random instancing, groups have started trying to run off randoms/low-light players from their instances in an attempt to 9-man Escalation Protocol.

If you start getting messages to leave, and you don't want to re-instance, you might get a party invite. Don't accept the party invite, since it opens up your IP address to the person who invited you. The best thing that you can do is just fast travel to the area that you're already at.

It's a bit of an annoyance, but it's better than having a fireteam follow you around meleeing you and shooting you while spamming messages.
