To have fun? (Destiny)

I'm not necessarily bashing. I thought The Dawning was fine for what it was. I certainly engaged more than I expected to. At least it gave us Mayhem, which was something different.

I'm not singling anyone out, I just have this general feel on DBO that that is what is happening. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but I see more threads about what Bungie is doing wrong than what Bungie is doing well. So much so that it's taking more effort for me to post anything that I find awesome about Destiny because I can count in my head how long it takes before someone tells me something they don't like. Maybe that is where Destiny is for people, but it's not where I am at.

But Iron Banner and Faction Rally aren't even special events. It's just doing more of what we're already doing for a special loot pool that is only available for a week. That sucks, and honestly comes off as lazy to me.

It comes off as tradition to me. It makes total sense. Yes, I agree that it would be fun if they tweaked it a little bit to make it special, but I don't want them to change it from what it is. I mean, technically Trials is the exact same thing but just in a shorter period of time.

I mean what do people want from Bungie? More content that you can play and do stuff with? That's called a DLC and it's already slated to come out. Until then, have fun with these mini events or don't and have fun someplace else. But don't question the events meaning. I'm going to enjoy the event for what I get out of it. I suggest y'all do the same.

I just want the fun back. I like D2. I just miss the limited time events actually feeling cool and different and special, and not just the same exact thing we already have with slightly different loot.

You know what I miss? The tiny new additions to the world that came with DLCs. Where are the Swordbearers, the Packs of Wolves, and the groups of Taken that came along? That was cool. It was small, but it made the game feel different, like it was changing.

Yeah, that would be cool. The snowballs were a nice addition that mixed it up.

And if you get nothing out of it then go someplace else to have fun.

You mean you haven't noticed all the other threads talking about other games? Seems like that's exactly what people are doing.

I'm most saying that for the people who still haven't realized it yet ;-)

P.S. I'm sorry if this seems a bit in your face, but I'm started to get sick of Bungie Bashers. I want to just have fun with Destiny for what it is: Fun, glorious, the faults and everything in between.

I'm still having fun with Destiny. I jumped back in for Curse of Osiris and The Dawning for a month. I'm signed up for a raid tomorrow (and a D1 classic raid next week). That doesn't mean I'm going to ignore all the bad things and just keep my mouth shut, which seems like what you're asking for, and that sucks.

Oh no, I think we still need to be aware of what we don't like. I just feel like a lot of us get caught up in what we don't like about the game and it has started to sour the mood for others that do enjoy the game. We all need to just take a step back every once and a while and realize how people are enjoying or not enjoying the game. I'm an optimistic guy, that loves playing Destiny and understands that everyone comes at this game differently and thus have different issues with it. I, regardless of my personal problems with the game, will still enjoy what Bungie did amazing in Destiny (which I think far outweighs the faults).
