I liked the raid lair probably more than any other raid. It was so good.

Now time for sleep.

I will also confirm that it is glorious. Way more difficult than I expected.

Dang that was good.
Yes, it was “short” at 3 real encounters, but each one required a decent amount of problem solving and execution. Plus, it was pretty visually impressive and I liked the aesthetic a bit more than the base Leviathan raid. The last two sections, and especially the final part, required more planning, skill, and execution than ANY previous Raid encounter.
Plus, while there wasn’t a lot of story, per se, it advanced the plot in clever little ways that I really liked.
Overall, I had a great time, and I think this proves that the concept of the Raid Lair was not even close to being an overhyped, made-up whosamawhatsits. If this level of Raid content is what these smaller expansions get us then I’ll be more than happy to play more Raid Lairs! :)

Definitely happy

Aye.
And it's going to be a while before we have that final encounter "down pat" - we barely finished as-is.

Awesome. Without spoiling anything, can you tell me why they had to call it a raid activity and not just raid?

There were 2 major sections instead of 3.

Also without spoiling anything, were there any hints/signs that it could be expanded upon with more activities down the road?

I would say that this raid lair was definitely in the leviathan, but it was set apart from the raid. So yes, there could be a ton more raid lairs. And for the amount of fun I had with this one, even though it was technically shorter, I would gladly pay for more.
If you mean, "expanded" as in built upon previous works... You will just have to play it and judge for yourself.

Same, if it's fun enough (I'd love to have optional endgame stuff that could be developed/purchased separately, though it's probably not in Bungie's best interest to do so). I was just wondering if, for example, you're dropped into a Hallway with several doors and you simply head into the first one. Something like that that implies more stuff down the road (visiting different sections of the World Eater and such).
Especially since a recurring antagonist is something that Bungie has been terrible at so far, and Calus seems to be able to scratch that itch a bit...

Unfortunately it'll probably be a while before we get to do the Lair, but I am curious about it for the sake of discussion. Curses!

I can say that very quickly you find out that It's in a different part of the world eater. But that's all I'm saying. I really don't want to give away anything because it's too good to spoil even minor details.
Especially since a recurring antagonist is something that Bungie has been terrible at so far, and Calus seems to be able to scratch that itch a bit...
Calus is a repeating theme. Which I like. I can honestly say I don't if he is out to get you. I know he is evil. But I just feel like he is just having fun messing with you. I mean you are inside his ship potentially blowing shit up and he is still laughing away... so yeah, I don't know what is end goal is.

Of Osiris? But yeah, I'll discuss once you play! I can't wait for more people to play the lair. Our team thoroughly enjoyed it. And the beauty of it is amaze balls. Bungie out does themselves again.

Obviously, we already knew there will be another Raid Lair, but by the time it is over, this Raid Lair itself makes it 100% clear that we will be returning to the Leviathan again. I'll also note that I think there is an interesting discussion or two to be had once more people have beaten this Raid Lair.

There’s the obvious blank space on the right side of the Leviathan screen that looks like it might be used for the next DLC. Then again, those obvious blank spaces haven’t always been filled up in the past either.

They straight up said in that first Curse of Osiris Twitch stream that there would be another "Raid Lair" coming with DLC 2 "in Spring 2018" and that it would be right there in that spot on The Director.
