Completely disagree. The Last Starfighter is one of my favorite movies of all time. And, it was one of the first movies to make extensive use of computer graphics.
lol - my reaction, upon watching that clip, was identical to Oholiab's. ;) The effects were SUPER-dated. (And bad, even for the time. I mean, crap, that ship the same order of magnitude of the size of the moon it crashed into!)
Not to say it was a bad movie - just that that scene did not even remotely age well. ;)
