I had to look this up since I've never heard of it. It orbits the sun near Uranus and Neptune, crossing closer to the sun than Uranus sometimes. Oh, it's also only about 60km across. You could come dangerously close to reaching escape velocity with a good hard jump. Huh. I guess the Vex can alter gravity too. Space magic is everywhere!

If the Wikipedia page is to be trusted, escape velocity evens out to about 80m/s (Earth's is about 11000m/s and the Moon's 2400m/s, for comparison).

In automotive scales, 80m/s is around 290km/h or 180mph (most supercars can push past that). It's be fun to go into orbit just by boosting those Pikes, wouldn't it?

I was wondering what Bungie had created and why. I had no clue this was a real place. Good for them! Makes the game even more interesting, I'd say.
