It's almost as bad as titles that give you no clue what the post is about!
I didn't make the title more descriptive partly because the whole question wouldn't fit in the subject field.
I think we should add an L: call them postlings

It actually bugs me a little more now that I know other people don't mind and think it's trivial. :/
How about this for a possibly better question: Why does the forum call them "postings"?
