Oh yeah, that was the pre-alpha of campaign. They overhauled the AI enemy, so it's still pretty buggy. But it's a lot of fun.

Right now there isn't an open alpha. It's early pre-alpha testing. [edit] Although according to the steam page, it will be in the summertime... so yeah. You can still get into playing/testing if you join the discord channel and sign up for testing.
Just go to http://deadhold.com/ and on the top right is "join discord"
