Looks like each class page has a circle for killing things with your Super. The Titan's Iron Will page has the Superstar objective that reads: "Defeat enemies with your Super abilities as a Titan."

Bungie can track things like getting kills while buffed by Ward of Dawn but they almost never have. Historically, Defenders simply couldn't complete bounties that required Super kills, for instance. More recently, like only post Rise of Iron, they sometimes track Ward of Dawn activations as two Super kills.

I wonder if Defenders get any credit for this one.

If Bungie makes no changes to the current Gorgons, each member of the fireteam will have to solo kill a Gorgon at the same time. They then have 30 seconds to kill the remaining 2 Gorgons before they become immune. With the shift to 390 light, I suspect they'll change up the mechanics to make it easier - either remove the immunity or respawn.

I suspect they'll also shake up their locations and pathing, just to screw with us :)

Yeah it does blow. Now to me, the achievement means almost nothing. As in, getting to the lighthouse legit. We did it, so it's very easy to say this as someone who's lighthoused before. I would have just cared about the check mark. I wanted the adept gun, and I wanted the grimoire.

Now, if I was someone like coldairfilter, who spends literally 8 hours per day every weekend (5 on Friday, closer to 10 on Sat and Sunday), trying to get there just to have done it for 15 months, I'd mow a couple lawns, say "Tim, here's $20. Pay this guy on paypal to carry me." It's 4 hours of work versus 20 for the week. He does want to be carried, because every time I go over there, he tells me a story about how he begged people to carry him and one promised to do that. Every time. He never goes because he never pays them, and he's frustrated and upset at the end of the night, storming into the living room pouting while I watch The Simpsons and eat my parents' steak.

That's insanity. If I were in his position, I'd have dropped the $20 and just gotten that shit done. Some morons are really good and play the game basically for a living. In much the same way I can't change my break calipers without a ton of trouble, or in the way I literally can't change a clutch, I buy the part and pay some guy at a garage to do it for me.

The car has a need to continue functioning, but a lot of guys really really really want to go, and to those who can't, just pay the damn experts. Life's too short.

I don't think Kermit or Morpheus are in the really really really want camp, but if someone here feels the need to get an emblem or a gun or the grimoire, don't feel bad. Pay a streamer.

I'd much rather do it with Team DBO, but I'd have to SOLIDLY earn a few dern-near guaranteed RSVP's well in advance--I work every single Friday and Saturday, and nobody's on Sunday. I can only ask for one Friday/Saturday off per job, and I don't want to waste it sitting in orbit looking at an FTB with (1).

In the first SRL event, it kinda made sense because the game's UI didn't otherwise have a good way to communicate the kind of info you might want to track during that event (although I think making people buy the book was a bit of a dick move, but whatever).

But when it comes to the other record books, they rub me the wrong way because their very inclusion is Bungie doubling down on their arbitrary grind design philosophy. If Bungie wanted to provide rewards for non-grind-related activities, they already have a way to do that: quests. You get an icon on the map, go do the mission, claim your reward. The only real use for record books is tracking repetition. Do 50 strikes, win 50 PvP games, etc. (The quest system can convey this information as well, but less efficiently). I'm sure Bungie will include some
none-repetitive milestones in the new book as well, just to pad it out. But repetitive tasks are what the book is all about.

So basically it's yet another way to try and get people to spend more time with the game than the content might earn on its own.

If you have a strong community, or you read blogs, or whatever they might let you know about things to do, but there should be an in-game resource for this. I totally understand if people think that it should be more "themed" to be in-world or more character driven, but for a game the size of Destiny, there should be something. (Bounties ARE serving the same if not a very similar purpose.)
