A stick made it between two spokes and got picked up. As the wheel rotated the stick upwards, the two ends of the stick banged into my fender struts, and the stick was jammed there between the fender struts and a spoke. Sort of like this (different bike and a piece of cardboard instead of an actual stick, but you get the idea):
Suffice it to say, the front wheel locked instantly. Unable to balance, the bike slipped out from under me.
It's probably a good thing that this happened in the snow, though.
Even a thin layer slightly softens the landing, and while it'll make you slide farther, sliding on snow often doesn't really do anything. Also, I was only going 15mph.
Furthermore, I'm not really sure how my front wheel would have behaved on dry pavement when the stick got jammed. If my weight pitching forward would have caused the tire to maintain friction on the pavement, maybe I would have experienced a gnarly endo and/or the spokes would have been snapped by the stick.
But what's up with the OG picture?

I understood what happened to you, but I still have no clue of what that picture is.
Also, glad you're ok. Crashing on a bike has never turned out well for me... :(

Unrelated to crashing, check out how much snow was getting picked up. lol
