Fan Fiction - What do you think?

Like Claude posted earlier on the front page, The Black Garden group over at Bungie.net put on a fan fiction contest. I ended up getting a story through to the finals. The best part has been hearing what the Community liked and didn't like about it, so I welcome feedback (can't get better without learning along the way).
Thinking about writing more in the story...

I really enjoyed your story. It really left me wanting to know what would happen next. Well Done.
I was very surprised to see that I made it into the finals as well. I feel fortunate to be included with such good writers. And even cooler to know that of the seven finalists, at least two of us have ties to DBO!
And everyone should seriously go check out all the great stories and get to voting!

I can't really think of any criticisms; it was short and sweet. :) Your words put fun images in my head that I'd want to doodle, so it passes the Leviathan Test!
