I'm guessing this Sword is gotten by some special mission means? Because... doesn't seem like it will drop from an engram. Which means, you might want to put at the very least a equipment spoiler on your title

it's an artifact from Tyra

???
It's the artifact, not the sword. That guy is using a Raze Lighter. Tyra is selling the artifact this week. Plus it's been talked about by Bungie for a while.

I can now imagine myself standing guard in front of my Ward of Dawn... protecting my "indestructible shield" from harm.

I want to see what all I can survive with armor of light and MoR. I wonder if we can break any mechanics like the swords broke the Skolas fight.

will it reflect the red siva shots? Will it throw back the elemental shots from Fallen Skiffs and Hive Tombships?

It should fire back any projectile. I really want to try it on the Wretched Eye boss fight.
But does it reverse tracking as well?

Tomb ship projectiles track, so does it simple 180 the projectile but keep the same target tracking, or does it flip the tracking back on the person that fires it? This needs to be tested with Truth ASAP :)

This indeed needs to be tested. My guess is that it doesn't track, it just shoots it back at where the target currently is. The one thing to note though is that I'm pretty sure it turns the projectile into YOUR projectile. That might sound like a "no duh" but it really does matter for some supers and things like tracking.

the direction it bounces off looks like it's based upon the angle you are facing when it hits

True, but the question is: For abilities/weapons that auto-track or are already tracking... does it continue to do that after it "switches sides"?
Another interesting idea... Does it only work on enemies? or can you us a sword to bounce a friendlies rocket/super around a corner?

Oh, I hope so. You could have your whole team unload on a single point from the safety of cover.

The best part is, I bet the guy with the artifact gets the credit for all of the kills :-D

I wonder if you can bounce a bounced projectile?

I guess the original shooter will have to be far enough back to finish their animation, and pull out their own sword, but it would be hilarious to see a nova bomb get deflected, then deflected back, then deflected back again.
