I finally picked up Until Dawn and started it tonight. After 4 chapters, all I can say is holy crap. This absolutely nothing like I was imagining it would be. I don't have a damn clue what's going on. People getting pulled out windows, some dude with freaking Predator vision roaming around, some Saw type shit going, some weird supernatural crap with the Ouija board, this crazy psychiatrist dude mocking me every chapter . . .
I'm already in love with this game, despite hating it for the first twenty minutes or so (I just want to be able to control the freaking camera, I don't need this Resident Evil bullshit!).
Only 13 hours left...

If you haven't looked at this week's Flash Sale (Ends at 2pm EST today), you can get the fantastic-and-similar-to-Until Dawn game The Wolf Among Us, thinking-man's action strategy game Transistor, and Journey ('nuff said) for $4.49-$4.99 each. Really great games up your alley.
You might even like the neat rogue-like "Don't Starve", which is set to get co-op this year (Sammy loves it, I'll enjoy it more once co-op is added), but which I can't link to because the link is apparently "too long" (Be sure to pick up the version that Includes the Reign of Giants expansion if you do, as it's only 50 cents more).
*Journey only shows up available for PS3, but go ahead and buy the PS3 version and you can download the PS4 version for free (confirmed it myself).
Roguelike-like

I know it's pedantic, but Don't Starve isn't technically a roguelike (very few "roguelikes" are). But it's a pretty good roguelikelike regardless, so take a look.
Don't starve is okay. But gets repetitive after a while.

My issue with all games of its ilk (Minecraft especially)...

But thanks to co-op, I spent dozens of hours in Minecraft, leaving little easter eggs and stuff for Sammy to find and enjoy, which is why I'm pretty stoked about the upcoming "Don't Starve Together".

For me minecraft is a different animal, unless you are playing "hardcore" mode. My problem with don't starve was you died and you reset from nothing. I like the idea, but gearing up to post-20 minute gameplay became somewhat tedious after a while. Maybe it's changed so that doesn't happen anymore tho.
Also, if you have not experienced thaumcraft (a minecraft mod), give it a try. I think you'd enjoy the experience.
Our definitions of upcoming must be different.

I liked it so much I made a trailer that doesn't spoil stuff like the official marketing.

I went to Gamestop last night with five games to trade in:
-The Nathan Drake Collection, which came with my PS4.
-Lego Jurassic World (also came free with my PS4, due to some promotion Toys'R'Us had at the time)
-Majora's Mask for 3DS
-Pokemon Y
-Pokemon Black 2
-Fire Emblem Fates
Apparently they were doing some sort of promotion, because the trade in values on everything were 30% to 40% above what their website quoted me. I went in expected about $70 for everything, I ended up getting $145 for trade in. He accidentally gave me the Uncharted 4 trade-in price for Nathan Drake collection, but completely missed my copy of Black 2 (because it was inside the same case as Pokemon Y), which I didn't notice until I got home and looked at the receipt. I chalked up as even and went about my day.
So anyway, I left with Until Dawn, Order 1886 (just because I've heard from multiple people that it's pretty decent and not nearly as awful as the reviews made it sound, as long as you know what to expect going in), and DOOM. I know I said I was glad I didn't buy DOOM, and I was at the time. After returning it to Redbox, though, I could not stop thinking about it.
So, long story short, if you've got games to trade in, now seems like a good time to do it. Not sure what the details of the promotion are, but I got extra for every game I traded in.
