Did the latest update reset it? (reply)

There are options to save the last 1, 3, 5, 10 or 15 minutes iirc. It may have reset to 1 minute for some reason.

I'll check if I still have my (admittedly less cool) PoV. At least I have the best view of the Bladedance of Doom.

Doesn't work any more (reply)

The second time you double tap will just finish recording and save after the previous double-tap. Then it's pot luck whether a third will start a new recording or save again from the last one, or say it's saving but actually do nothing.

No idea why they changed the system, honestly. It used to be very simple and work perfectly. Now it's only slightly more complicated, but no more useful and far less reliable.

PS4 not saving videos correctly (reply)

I am not sure of the nomenclature, but I use the long press for screen shot and press once to bring up the share menu. I only pressed it once, pressed record once. Only 58 seconds. I will check it. This isnt the firs time it has happened.

PS4 not saving videos correctly (reply)

So this morning I was going to post a REALLY good match that Lictonatus and myself had in trials. We were playing with Charlie, but he got disconnected at the beginning of the Match. We ended up winning 2v3 5-1.

More to the point, why are my videos NOT saving CORRECTLY?? I saved the clip, only to find this morning, that instead of 15 minutes, it was 58 seconds. Am I doing something wrong? I know my HDD isnt full.

If you opened the share menu to take a screenshot or something, it restarts the fifteen minute recording. I always wait until the scoreboard comes up before I save a clip, since I can always go back and edit it later.

Also, which setting do you use? Easy screenshot, or Standard? I recommend using Standard, since you can accidentally restart a recording otherwise.

PS4 not saving videos correctly (reply)

I've run into a "bug" when recording videos. If you press the "share" button to open the capture menu, then press "O" to go back to the game (without saving a clip or screenshot) it will reset your video capture.

One trick I do when I want to make sure I get something recorded is I start a fresh recording at the beginning of each match, rather than waiting until the end. If you double-tap the share button, it will start a fresh recording. So during a trials run, I'll just double-tap the share button as we're loading in to each match; that way I'm guaranteed to get footage of the whole thing.
